I am a lover of all things creative, it is little wonder that I am a multi-discipline artist with a penchant for mixing my media.

My style varies from Contemporary to Realist, much depends on the materials used and my interpretation of what is inspiring me at the time.

The Beginner’s Quick Start Guide to Using Pastels at Jacksons Drawing Supplies in Midland was a great success. Without a doubt, all participants would have enjoyed more time to work on their pastel painting after the materials introduction and mark-making exercises.

These enthusiastic artists were a brilliant class, such a pleasure to teach.

Marie has sent through a photo of her finished painting. A brilliant job was done in taking the reference photo and giving it her take, complete with birds and a bunny. This very green image was a challenge and was dealt with very well. The deep foreground shadows and introduction of sienna helped to push back the picture plane; A great first attempt at pastels.
